🎯 Exam Pattern Overview

The GRE exam is available in two formats:

🎓 For Study Abroad

GRE General Test Pattern:

Analytical Writing (2 tasks, 60 minutes): “Issue” task & “Argument” task to test critical thinking and writing clarity.

Verbal Reasoning (2 sections, 30 minutes each): 40 questions on reading comprehension, text completion, and critical reasoning.

Quantitative Reasoning (2 sections, 35 minutes each): 40 questions on arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and data analysis..

Unscored/Research Section (Varies): For ETS research purposes, does not affect score

The total test time is around 3 hours 45 minutes. Scores range from 260 to 340, with Analytical Writing scored separately on a scale of 0–6.
